Question: I have small white bumps on my penis? › View responses (1)

The Sexpert Response:

They may be symptoms of an STI, or they may be something quite common and naturally occurring called pearly penile papules, white coloured skin tags that appear around the rim of the penis head.  Get your doctor to check them out though - never ignore bumps and lumps on your penis.

Question: Hi. Are there support groups out there for over 30s males who want to come out? I'm so confused and don't know what to do. I've had suicidal thoughts because of overwhelming feelings of deep guilt and shame brought about from my religious upbringing. Please help. Anon. › View responses (1)

The Sexpert Response:

Hi, it sounds like you’re going through a really hard time, but there are people who can help.  As we are not sure where you are in NZ we suggest giving OUTLine a call on 0800OUTLINE (0800 688 5463), they can talk you through some of the issues and help point you in the right direction.  The NZAF also offers a free counseling service, give them a ring on 0800 802 437.  You could also consider getting in touch with lifeline on 0800 543 354.  Finally, there is really comprehensive list of support groups on this page at gaynz.com

Question: You may have answered this question before, but are there any potential hazards from 'rimming' someone? › View responses (1)

The Sexpert Response:

Yes, there is a risk of being infected with Hepatitis A, which can be transmitted in microscopic amounts of faecal matter.  If rimming is something you practice or are interested in we suggest getting vaccinated against Hepatitis A; there is a cost of $120 which involves 2 vaccinations 6 months apart.

Question: Can you suggest ways to deal with phimosis due to a tight phimotic ring? Something less drastic as circumsicion or breaking one's banjo string would be nice. After all, you don't cut off or break your head when you've got a headache, and a sensitive glans is a wonderful thing. › View responses (1)

Question: hey can a cock ever get stuck inside you ? › View responses (1)

The Sexpert Response:

Sometimes when the receptive partner cums he tenses up making it difficult for the insertive partner to extract his erect penis. If you both wait for a few minutes the “grip” will loosen and the penis can withdraw with ease.

Question: my new boyfriend ' iam just askinq out is the world and everythinq to me ? but i dont know why everyboy is intreasted in sex and i do want to have sex with him what type of ocndom should i use and whats lube used for ? › View responses (1)

The Sexpert Response:

Use a condom that fits and feels comfortable. Squeeze the air out of the tip when you roll it on. Putting lube on the outside of the condom makes it more comfortable for both partners (think slip and slide) and minimises the chance of the condom breaking.  Check out http://getiton.co.nz/info-resources/perfect-fit/ for more info and a demonstration on how to put on a condom
