Rainbow Youth wants your stories!

Rainbow Youth is turning 20 this year and as part of our celebrations we’d like to collect as many stories, photographs and memorabilia of Rainbow Youths’ history as we can. From the early days of ALGY (Auckland Lesbian and Gay Youth) through until today we want to collect our history or herstory together.

Have you ever been part of Rainbow Youth? Did you volunteer? Or come along to one of the groups?  Have you been a member? Or did you get to see a Rainbow Youth workshop when you where at school?

Whether it was one year ago or twenty we’d love to hear from you!

We want to know what Rainbow Youth has meant to you and how it’s been a part of your life. How did you feel about it and what was it like when you were part of the organization?

We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who was a part of the organization in the early days and if you have any photos, posters, information brochures or other bits and pieces lying around connected to Rainbow Youth we’d love to be able to get copies or even photograph items.

Email your stories to info@rainbowyouth.org.nz or call 09 376 4155 if you have photos we can arrange to copy or memorabilia you would be happy to have photographed.

You can also join our mailing list so you will be one of the first to hear about the fantastic 20th anniversary celebrations when they are announced.
