Bro Online speaks to iam8bit, this weeks Hottie of the Week!

Iam8bit (30) is a graphic designer from Auckland who’s into snowboarding, longboarding, gaming and partying.

So, first question: how long was your longest relationship?

My longest (and most recent) relationship lasted for about two years - it was long distance for a majority of the time though, which I think is what killed it in the end.

True, long distance relationships can be tough. So, what's something you're attracted to in guys that others might find unusual?

I find it hot if someone actually has passable vocal talent, I can't sing to save myself.

How would you describe your perfect lover?

Tough one. Someone who had some conviction and passion about the things they do or believe in and at the same time is going to tolerate or stand up to my crap. Also, they should be hot.

Whats your pet peves?

Lateness, people who use Comic Sans (especially in emails), uneven margins and the colour beige (I HATE beige). Most of my pet peeves are work-related; I'm usually a pretty patient guy.

Where's the most adventurous place you've ever 'done it'?

Uretiti Beach on New Years Eve, but given the stuff that goes on at Uretiti around New Years it's probably not really that adventurous.

And are you a Wine-and-Dine kind of guy or a Root-and-Scoot kind of guy?

Ha ha, I've never heard Root-and-Scoot before. In my early 20s I was definitely a Root-and-Scoot, but now that I've got all that out of my system I'm definitely more of a Wine -and-Diner (with occasional bouts of Root and Scoot.)

What's your idea of the perfect date?

Fish and Chips and beer on the wharf over on the North Shore. I'm not fancy.

Oh good, neither am I.  Tell us about your username iam8bit. Where did it come from?

It's sort of two things: it's a reference to my love of old video games and also to an art exhibition in the US that was influenced by old video games. You should look it up, there's some cool stuff.

So you're into design and technology. What's your favourite gizmo?

It's sort of a toss up between my Nintendo DS and my iPod (please don't make me choose).

OK, name one thing that you couldn't live without and tell us why.

The internet. I know it's cliché and makes me sound like a whiny teenager, but I really, really, REALLY love the internet.

Cool. OK rate these three in order of importance when buying clothes, comfort, style, price.

Style, comfort, price. At least until the Visa bill comes in or I actually have to wear whatever I bought.

Which female celebrity would you go straight for?

Hayden Panettiere (the cheerleader from Heroes), she's HOT.

Are you fully out? And if so, when did you come out?

Yes. I came out in 1998 in a small restaurant in Christchurch. It wasn't the most successful family dinner I've had. At least the food was good and there was a bar.

Last question – what is your safe sex slogan?

It’s on my profile!
